Job Description
Cybotrix Technologies is inviting applications from experienced QA Engineers with 3 to 6 years of experience for opportunities across multiple cities in India. We are looking for professionals with strong knowledge of Manual Testing, Functional Testing, Regression Testing, API Testing, and software quality assurance processes. Additionally, candidates should have practical experience working with development teams to identify defects and improve application quality.
The ideal candidate should understand the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC). Furthermore, applicants should be capable of preparing test scenarios, executing test cases, reporting defects, and validating software functionality. Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse business requirements, functional specifications, and software design documents.
- Prepare detailed test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test execution reports.
- Perform Manual Testing, Functional Testing, Integration Testing, Regression Testing, and Smoke Testing.
- Identify, document, track, and verify software defects using defect management tools.
- Conduct API testing using Postman or similar tools.
- Validate application functionality across browsers, devices, and operating systems.
- Execute database queries to verify data accuracy and application behaviour.
- Collaborate with developers, Business Analysts, and project managers to resolve software defects.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support and release validation activities.
- Maintain test documentation and communicate testing progress to stakeholders.
- Identify testing risks and recommend improvements to software quality processes.
Required Technical Skills
Manual and Functional Testing
Candidates should have strong experience in manual software testing and functional validation. Additionally, they should understand test case design techniques, boundary value analysis, equivalence partitioning, and defect lifecycle management.
API Testing
Practical knowledge of REST API testing using Postman is preferred. Furthermore, candidates should understand HTTP methods, status codes, JSON responses, authentication, and API validation techniques.
Database Testing
Candidates should have working knowledge of SQL for database validation and backend testing. They should be comfortable writing basic to intermediate queries involving joins, filtering, and data verification.

Defect Tracking and Test Management
Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, Bugzilla, or similar tools is desirable. Moreover, candidates should be capable of documenting defects with clear reproduction steps, expected results, and actual results.
Agile and Software Testing Processes
A strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, SDLC, and STLC is required. Consequently, candidates should be able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional development teams and support timely software releases.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or other test automation tools.
- Basic programming knowledge in Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Experience testing web applications, enterprise platforms, or mobile applications.
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes and software release management.
- Knowledge of performance testing concepts and tools such as JMeter.
- Experience with Git and test management tools.
- Understanding of security testing fundamentals.
- ISTQB certification or equivalent testing credentials will be an advantage.
Experience Requirements – 3 to 6 Years
Candidates with 3 to 4 years of QA experience should be capable of independently preparing test cases, executing functional and regression tests, and managing defects. Additionally, they should have practical experience with API testing, SQL validation, and Agile project delivery.
Professionals with 5 to 6 years of experience should demonstrate stronger ownership of testing activities, including test planning, risk identification, and release validation. Furthermore, experience mentoring junior QA Engineers and coordinating with business stakeholders will be beneficial.
